The Visionaries Behind Sicilery

Ottavio Leone , COO

Ottavio has always been passionate about entrepreneurship and bringing authentic experiences to people. He co-founded Sicilery, a Sicilian street food chain in the Netherlands, specializing in traditional Sicilian delicacies like arancini. Under his leadership, the brand has expanded to three locations, showcasing his ability to develop and implement growth strategies.

With a background in European Studies at Zuyd University, Ottavio combines academic knowledge with practical business expertise. His strategic mindset, coupled with hands-on management, ensures smooth store operations, staff coordination, and effective marketing decisions.

His international experience, including a volunteering initiative in Turkey focused on the inclusion of children with disabilities, reflects his strong interpersonal skills and dedication to fostering meaningful connections. Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, Ottavio effortlessly navigates multicultural environments, strengthening Sicilery’s presence in diverse markets.

Rocco Leone, CEO

Rocco has always dreamed of sharing Sicilian cuisine with the world. He began his studies in Economics in Milan and is working towards completing them. With a strong understanding of the entrepreneurial world and proven leadership skills, he combines strategic vision with hands-on management. Influenced by his family’s background in design, Rocco took charge of brand communication, ensuring that Sicilery’s identity reflects both tradition and innovation. His ability to understand people has been key in building strong working relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment. When the opportunity to create Sicilery arose, he embraced it as a chance to transform his passion into a growing business, bringing authentic Sicilian flavors to new audiences.
